The Cloquet River Run is a Churchill PIE (Partner in Education) event that promotes healthy lifestyles in our children and community. Beginning in 2007, people of all ages have participated in the 1 mile or 5K run/walk. Many people also come out to volunteer and cheer! Both races start and end at Churchill Elementary School. The “little kids race” gives children up to age 6 the opportunity to participate on a short sprint in front of the school. The vision of this event has expanded and evolved over time into a very popular family-friendly yet challenging opportunity for health and fitness. Both our 5K and 1 Mile courses were USATF re-certified in 2022! Students at Churchill participate in a practice 1 mile run/walk during the school day a few weeks before the event.
Race proceeds will go toward health-related equipment and programs and technology purchases for Churchill Elementary School. Due to many incredibly generous sponsors and hundreds of runners we have been able to help fund many projects including playground equipment, water bottle filling stations, and more! Come and get involved in the Cloquet River Run!
